1 scoop cytomax with water for breakfast. Went out front gate to Kingsland, River Rd to Park and returned same way. Did 3 full laps in park from tennis courts side to skating rink side. Went a little fast on 1st lap in part and was very light headed so slowed for next. Pulled Voler bibs down so loose in crotch and most comfy. 7.5 inseam on them and 9 on Cuore and 10.5 on Pactimo.

Ate 600 calories over limit day before but nothing day before that. No breakfast until after first climb on ride. Had 2 bottles of cytomax and 2 bagels. Felt okay on ride with many sluggish moments but had enough energy to finish very strong.
Brian H, Karen F. & Larry B came. Missed turns several times mid ride and wasted 1 hr. Garmins not working correctly and some road had no street signs. Went around lake opposite direction of route.
BTCNJ Led with Ken Levins as co-leader and Steve Felmeister attended.
At lots of junk night before so no breakfast and 4 scoops of cytomax for entire ride. Felt good actually on ride but small bonk towards end of ride due to not eating. Moderate pace.
Denville – Lk Hopatcong, Allamuchy, Hackettstown, Schooleys Mt 72.1 Miles
About 2k extra caloreis night before. Ate cup cakes and ice cream night before with about 350 grams of pasta and felt pretty good on ride. No breakfast, had banana at start, bagel at lunch 200 calorie bar mid ride, 3 bottles cytomax powder.
Ken Levins came, Larry Borowsky and Valiant Abello
Fast from start and felt tired in upper rear legs. Got a little better as ride progressed. Mile 50 to 75 felt very good then struggled 75 to 100. Tried to do 125 route but went back to start thinking it continued from there but didnt so had to return where came from but garmin route was wrong and I could not find the route so turned back when I saw Pulis Rd and ended with 112. Strava only sees 110 though
Ate the prior 2 days consuming all calories and about 1k extra day before the ride. Ate lots of black beans and did not digest as expected. Felt awful for ride and should not have been on bike. Had ZERO minutes of sleep all night although got in bed at 7:30pm. A long night of just lying there. The entire rides was no fun due to feeling so weak. Entire ride was very cool in temperature.
Road with Larry Borowsky who took day off. Did Vista Maria then Sugar Loaf and finished off on Mohonk Mt the reverse way just before end of ride in New Paltz.
Ate good day before and no breakfast but ate early in ride. Under estimated calories in nutrition bars and ate a sweet cake snack at lunch that did not good so near bonking last 20 miles. Peekamoose was extremely hard as effort grade prior was a couple percent for miles tiring me at Ken’s pace.
There was a tree that had just fallen across road, we were luck to have not been there when happening. Added different way back for last 10 miles and forgot Ken did not have revised route on garmin screen and lost him when I made the left on Bennett thinking he would see turn on his device. He never shows at intersection of Bennett and 55 so I went to car and called since my phone was dead. He arrived with a couple extra miles upset I did not wait. I apologized many times to him and we put topic to end discussing no more. Ken is a good guy and I enjoy his company.
Had fruit and liquids in car for end of ride and snacked on that and nutrition bars driving home. Good day.
Did you plan for this ride until 2:30 pm. Ate lots of junk and some good day before and late all during ride at every rest stop and lots after. Felt terrific after ride. Has a few all out hanging on efforts during ride but was a great day otherwise. Neck felt best ever for a long ride and back was managable.
Ate 1,111 ish extra calories night before.
Nothing for breakfast.
Ate 1 bagel and 2 bottles of cytomax over course of ride and felt terrific after I got a few miles in up until the very end. Gained a little confidence back today!
Went to meet Bob R ride a Mt View RR but was mistaken and ride started at Lincoln Pk RR. I was stretching on RR platform and did not see that nobody showed up. Not sure How I found the Will to ride all these miles but just started towards Denville then continued to my Mendham Route.
did 65 miles and 8500 ft climbing yesterday. Age veggies for dinner and king size snicker bar and about 2000 ice cream calories. Slept late due rain.
Had 1 scoop of cytomax and another with water, no breakfast. Felt asful at start just wanting to complete 1.5 hour needed for Strava Run Challenge. When got towards end decided to make it a half marathon. wound up with 13.05 miles and half is really 13.5 miles. Oh well.
Lebanon – Califon, Glen Gardner, Asbury, High Bridge
Ate 2500 extra calories with ice cream and hersheys choclate 360. Had half pound of pasta, rice, beans and all good food for other calories. Felt like garbage yesterday but was much better for ride today. Took it easy and only picked up effort when Garmin started to run low on battery.
Over all a good ride with Ken Levins. Back to car around 3pm for a 13.1 avg 5 hr ride. Iron Bridge did not seem so bad today.
83,37 Climbing Ft – missed a little due to turning Garmin off to save battery. Ken got 8,504 Strava Stats
Had full breakfast and 2 bagels and 2 bottles and 2 scoops of cytomax powder for entire ride Possessed to ride to get back on track with diet and left in drizzle which was supposed to stop but it rained harder for almost 15 miles before stopping. Wet feet entire ride but was not too bad. Did every single hill to Ringwood possible at a moderate pace for almost 7 hours with just 2 quick bathroom stops. Spent almost an hour when home to add additional 900 ft to get 8 k but then wanted 90 miles so wound up with 8,350 feet.
Somehow riding in the rain was not so bad with my amber glasses on

Didn’t ride yesterday and had bad day with computer etc and wound up eating so much ice cream and some cake alone with half jar of peanut butter. Probably 3 days worth of food but tons of junk. Did have oatmeal and veggies.
Riding to meet group I felt a little weak. I ate a bagel early and had some cytomax and was okay for a very fast ride. Felt very rested at end too probably due to all the calories I consumed day before. Just happy to be back on track with my nutrition plan.

Ate full breakfast a pear plus 2 tbs peanut butter and 2 scoops cytomax before ride and was still exhausted. Was about 1500 calories deficient from ride day before plus did 1hr in the gym today, chest and legs.

Had 1 bottle of cytomax on ride and felt pretty good and able to move along nicely easily. The first hill out of complex felt like I had someone pushing me up it. Body feels very good, I’m just tired from low calories at times.
Tried eating a full bottle of sugar instead of cytomax on ride and it did nothing for me but make me feel sickish. Had about 7 tablespoons plus 2 bottles of cytomax. Had 2 servings of oatmeal for breakfast with 2 coffees and 3 tsps sugar. Has 1 tablespoon peanut butter too.

Felt very strong in beginning and and approached Warwick Tpk pulling group then started at a civilized pace. I had more and could have gone even faster. Got 4th over all fastest time on strava! I just looked and this climb starts at the beginning of White and I did not start until going through stop sign onto Warwick. Oh well now I know I can go faster next time. Got 5th over all time on Gould and could have gone even faster there too. Started to feel tired towards last 25 miles. Ken Levins was very strong on flats. Larry Borowsky pulled all the way down Westbrook and all the way to Gould.
Dan, Ed and Nate took short route to lunch then took rt 23 to avoid Gould. Dan had mechanical issues and could not get off large chainring.
Very nice temps 70’s to low 80’s with low humidity and bright sunshine. Great day!

Got to start early and very dark like it was going to rain so waited 15 minutes. First half of ride was dark, very windy and extremely cold for shorts and sheer arm warmers. I was freezing. 2nd half warmed up just a little. Ate good day before and experimented with just Cytomax as fuel and no other food. Went through just over 1 bottle of cytomax mix and had 2.5 scoops of cytomax powder and did not bonk but will need to mix in more calories next time. Loantaka -Oldwick BTCNJ Excellent Adventure 70.2 Miles
Road with Steve Felmeister. Perfect day and felt awesome from start. Somehow sprained back on bike and for the first time it effected me while pedaling. Took it easy for a bit and eventually was under control. Upper Aerobic paced at times but pushed pretty hard on Fairmont and again on Whiteneck which went by very fast and Madisonville.
55 degrees at start and had a thin jersey and thin arm warmers so slightly cold all of ride. Heavy fog was like drizzle for first 2 hours. Felt incredible on bike, no neck, back, or saddle pain and felt like had tail wind entire ride. Road with Steve Felmeister who road from his home for 90 miles.

Oak Ridge – Sparta, Andover, Hackettstown, Lk Hopatcong 64.7 Miles
A great route but the worst day. Pouring rain while driving to start. 9am departure schedule but had to wait until 10. Got a flat in the first 20 yards. Sprained my back changing tire. Wheel kept rubbing so spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why for a full 25 minute delay. Dropped chain and due to rushing put a gouge in bottom bracket. Missed a few turns causing the entire ride to be a rush due to Sara having to pick kids up at 3:30 ish. Head wind the entire ride. Forgot to start garmin at start then when did 9 miles in had to reset ride trying to find next turn.
Took Cervelo out for inspiration and push pretty hard until too tired coming back. When up Ft Lee Rd to Fort Lee then straight up 9W. A rider on 9W had me pushing very hard just to stay close behind. When I got to Nyack went up the Depew climb, left on 9W S and quick right on S Highland Ave to S Boulevard. The hilly section above Piermont. Then left on Tweed to 9W S. Came in via the hills on 9W.
