Ate Standard Breakfast plus a scoop of cytomax and water. Very tired about 10 miles in then ate bagel and used 3 scoops of cytomax powder for rest of ride and was much better. Body still tires today. Had strong tale wind coming in from Montvale/Fairfield an all the way home. Bridge was out at River Rd and Eagle Rock Ave causing me to add 7 extra miles.
Had standard breakfast and half scoop of cytomax before ride. Felt a little sluggish at start. Back felt excellent as if a constant warm & soothing feeling. Saddle comfort the entire ride wearing PI knickers.
Got to start early and very dark like it was going to rain so waited 15 minutes. First half of ride was dark, very windy and extremely cold for shorts and sheer arm warmers. I was freezing. 2nd half warmed up just a little. Ate good day before and experimented with just Cytomax as fuel and no other food. Went through just over 1 bottle of cytomax mix and had 2.5 scoops of cytomax powder and did not bonk but will need to mix in more calories next time. Had to stop to pee 7 times so body was doing some strange things.
Forgot to turn Garmin back on and lost 2.5 miles and correct average is 16 mph.

Calibrated at 1.78. First hard set did not need 100% although I did not have a lot of energy. Towards the end of the ride I got stronger. A couple hard efforts caught me by surprise and I was able to still get pedals up to speed and finish strong.
Loantaka -Oldwick BTCNJ Excellent Adventure 70.2 Miles
Road with Steve Felmeister. Perfect day and felt awesome from start. Somehow sprained back on bike and for the first time it effected me while pedaling. Took it easy for a bit and eventually was under control. Upper Aerobic paced at times but pushed pretty hard on Fairmont and again on Whiteneck which went by very fast and Madisonville.
55 degrees at start and had a thin jersey and thin arm warmers so slightly cold all of ride. Heavy fog was like drizzle for first 2 hours. Felt incredible on bike, no neck, back, or saddle pain and felt like had tail wind entire ride. Road with Steve Felmeister who road from his home for 90 miles.
Mt View RR Station – BTCNJ Led Oakland, Greenwood Lk, Harriman via Rt 106/ 78.1 Miles
Perfect day. 68 degrees at start, high of 78. No wind until reached Suffern and still not so bad. Completely blue skies.
Skyline Dr, Stonetown Rd, East Shore Dr, 17A, Harriman via 106, Call Hollow, Long Hill, Breakneck.
Went faster than realized on Skyline making last section difficult. Hr 170.
Decided to ride the last minute. Experimented with new route to Swamp then to Jockey Hollow with different return route as well. Saw 88 degrees on bike. Sluggish at beginning but felt better as ride went on.
Oak Ridge – Sparta, Andover, Hackettstown, Lk Hopatcong 64.7 Miles
A great route but the worst day. Pouring rain while driving to start. 9am departure schedule but had to wait until 10. Got a flat in the first 20 yards. Sprained my back changing tire. Wheel kept rubbing so spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why for a full 25 minute delay. Dropped chain and due to rushing put a gouge in bottom bracket. Missed a few turns causing the entire ride to be a rush due to Sara having to pick kids up at 3:30 ish. Head wind the entire ride. Forgot to start garmin at start then when did 9 miles in had to reset ride trying to find next turn.
Took Cervelo out for inspiration and push pretty hard until too tired coming back. When up Ft Lee Rd to Fort Lee then straight up 9W. A rider on 9W had me pushing very hard just to stay close behind. When I got to Nyack went up the Depew climb, left on 9W S and quick right on S Highland Ave to S Boulevard. The hilly section above Piermont. Then left on Tweed to 9W S. Came in via the hills on 9W.
